Nigel Birch

Nigel is a market intelligence consultant at Spence Johnson. His work supports strategic and tactical planning, communications, asset raising, sales and marketing. Nigel began his career in sales and business development at GE Capital. Since then he has worked for some of the fastest growing asset managers, hedge funds and CTA’s in Europe and some of the largest pension funds in the world.

Nigel has authored many papers and studies including ‘Impact Bias and the Market Cycle’ and ‘The Evolution of Fiduciary Management’. He advises several investment journals focusing on Institutional and Alternative Investments and writes for several financial publications focused on pension management.

Nigel is the founder of the Fiduciary Management Group and The Institutional Risk Management Forum.
