Excellence in Pensions Investment 2011

An important and unique project to identify investment-related excellence and what causes it among UK pensions funds. 

The goal is not to promote awards or prizes, but to generate insights into excellence which can be shared across the industry.

We have asked Leaders in Pensions to help us identify in confidence those excellent UK pension funds (DB or DC, private or public) that they think justify this accolade. 

The 40 suggested funds are now being invited to participate in interviews during September and October to share in more detail what makes them so excellent.

Excellence has emerged across all of these headings: Pension Strategy, Investment Implementation, Risk Management , Communication  or Supplier Management.  More detailed sub headings are shown in the suggestion form.

We will share full research findings at no charge with Fund participants in November 2011, and will (if they wish) spend time helping each to understand how they compare to other excellent funds. This project may be a good (and free) way for Funds to compare ways of working with other excellent funds.  It may offer up ideas of how to operate even more successfully.
